Loft living.
Island pace.
Crittall-framed lofts, terrazzo baths and an infinity pool on ten acres of paddy and jungle.
A little colonial.
Entirely tropical.
After thirty years of flying the world, a pilot built the retreat he had never found. A place of steel windows, hand-made teak and room to slow down.
Set among the rice fields of Heenatigala, Miss Ceylon brings loft living to Sri Lanka's south coast. Spend the day by the infinity pool, then retreat to a terrazzo bath in your own space.
Meet Miss Ceylon

Rooms with double-height skies.
Three loft styles, each with floor-to-ceiling steel windows, a terrazzo bath and furniture made by hand in teak.

“There is no corner here that does not make a beautiful photograph.”
A day at Miss Ceylon moves at paddy-field pace.
Yoga above the paddies
Classes with experienced instructors on the pool deck, as mist lifts off the rice fields.

Breakfast, unhurried
Tropical fruit, island curries and good coffee at the long table in the dining hall.

The infinity pool
Pink umbrellas, striped loungers and nothing between you and the jungle but a field of rice.

A spa ritual in your loft
A couples massage, then a bath of oils and petals in your terrazzo tub by candlelight.

Fire on the lawn
On select evenings, traditional dancers bring fire and drums to the garden.

Dinner under rattan chandeliers.
A double-height hall with a long communal table, open to the rice fields. Island breakfasts, rice and curry on banana leaf, and candlelit dinners cooked around every diet.
